Still well worth the read. Nov 03, Tiara rated it really liked it Shelves: You almost have to read the book a 2nd time to incorporate all the new knowledge you learn so late in the game to see how it fits in gelladonna the story as a whole. His range of delivery is remarkable, and his mastery of the emotive final chapter is superb – I look forward to hearing more of his readings.

It had that same rambling, verbose, tedious style as Middlesex did in the beginning, which sort of throws me off for belladonns second because I like to get immediately sucked into a book. Think kidnapped and sold into sex slavery and rather descriptive writing. I do love a good revenge story. If everyone was honest with themselves, I think everybody harbors fantasies of “revenge” against someone who has wronged them at some point in life. It was on my “keepers” bookcase and all I remembered when I looked at it was “it was good”.
I’m about halfway through, and so far, I lovelovelove this book!
I feel like the story would have been a smoother read had it just been reorganized just a I got this book on a whim at a thrift store. The year isand Isabella, innocent, spirited, and trusting, is about to be taken from the world she knows and subjected to the whims of a cabal of wealthy aristocrats who answer to no laws but their own.

A Gift For You I liked that Belladonna is in no way ashamed of wanting revenge on those who have wronged bellaeonna, and intends to get it any way she can, and she only knows one way thanks to them – lust as a weapon. The settings are all BIG and exotic, even when they’re down-homey.

Belladonna: A Novel of Revenge by Karen Moline
I’m not sure if that’s a good thing or not, forgetting most of the book. It is just that good. It was a belladlnna read but sometimes hard to follow because of the way the book is laid out. A true novel of revenge, its graphic accounts in tasteful – and shocking – detail of Isabella’s life of servitude, abuse and emergence as a powerhouse of her own will and determination, Moline takes you on the ride of your life.

Please note, I read this book years ago. I got this book on a whim at belpadonna thrift store. I think I just might read it again for the hell of it. Isabella is actually purchased by a man she knows only as “His Lordship”, a man she will dedicate the rest of her life to bslladonna and destroying once she escapes her hell. I found myself feeling all the emtions of the character.
